A group supporting a children’s home in Romania has hit its latest target following a two-day summer fair.
The fundraising fair was held at the home of Rainbow Project Plymouth chairman Bee Pugsley on Friday and Saturday.
Despite appalling weather, the project managed to hit its target of raising enough to pay for a covered play area for the children’s home in Ilisua, in the north of the eastern European country.
The Rainbow Project has been helping children for many years, and members visit as often as they can to see the difference their help makes.
The fair featured many bargains, a silent auction and, as usual, food, with lunches on both days and cream teas on the Friday.
Bee holds the events several times a year, as well as going to table top sales at Trinity United Reformed Church. For the first time, she will also be going to St Mary’s table top sale in the church hall in Plympton on Saturday, September 2, from 10am to 1pm.
The next sale at Bee’s home will be November 10 and 11. For further details contact Bee on 01752 401260, or email email@example.com.
