Youngsters learn to love the game with club’s assistance

Dartington and Totnes Cricket Club has welcomed a plethora of youngsters for their first All Stars Cricket session.

Youngsters ranging from five to eight years of age have signed up for the eight-week-long England and Wales Cricket Board programme aimed at getting more young people into the game.

Each week new games and practices are played to give the youngsters an insight into playing cricket.

There are some spaces till available for the remaining sessions and to the end of the season details can be found online at www.

A spokesman for D and T said: “This initiative from the ECB, with support from Devon Cricket, has added strength and depth to jump-start the club’s junior section; it’s great to see the next generation taking up cricket and enjoying our club’s space in Dartington.
